RICS investigates the most effective ways to provide pastoral care. The knowledge learned shapes RICS’ direct care services and education programs. Currently, through a grant, the Pastoral Care Comparison Study is examining the contribution of pastoral care by trained lay visitors. Can they be equipped to achieve the same outcomes as clinically trained chaplains?
